This is a re-read for me, but I want to proclaim my amazement with the depth of this writer. She must be very well-read and educated, her books are full of quotes. Reminds me of C.S. Lewis in that regard.
You don't have to be a Christian to enjoy the life and hometown of this priest. For a Yankee like me, it has that appeal of the small southern town. I like how Father Tim is unable to understand his own feelings about his neighbor and his health.
I hate how I read this kind of novel. It's so engrossing that I struggle to read slower and pick up the details, and often I just rush through.
