Few stories are as widely read and as universally cherished by children and adults alike as The Little Prince. Richard Howard's new translation of the beloved classic-published to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's birth-beautifully reflects Saint-Exupéry's unique and gifted style. Howard, an acclaimed poet and one of the preeminent translators of our time, has excelled in bringing the English text as close as possible to the French, in language, style, and most important, spirit. I'v got a very very old version

room1314(Sydney)

I borrowed "The little prince" version of 1944 from library. It's the first version in English. When looking through it, I am extremely surprised to find that there's no IDSN number. So, I think I'd better not add it to Douban.net to confuse other people. But really really want you guys to know there IS such an old and amazing version of our darling "Little Prince".

BTW, suggest you to read the story of the author. His experience as a pilot is far more exciting than an novel. You would learn more about his motivation of writing "The Little Prince".
