... It's decent for a textbook. Not the same easy and enjoyable style as, say, Andrew Tanenbaum's books. But not as unreadable as some, either.
Worth a read. Each essay can be finished in a couple hours.

An above-average self-contained fantasy novel; nothing special, but entertaining nonetheless.

Great prose, awful story. This book is a stinking pile of garbage exquisitely arranged and expertly dressed. It will disgustingly increase your vocabulary. The initially intense plot gives way to a weak, cop-out ending.

Amazing prose, heartbreaking story. Parts made me cry.

First book of a strong (for the first few books, anyway) series.
